Telepsychiatry Services
& FAQs
As an integrative Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I provide accessible, secure, and personalized psychiatric care to residents of Maryland through virtual appointments.
Diagnostic Evaluation & Treatment
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation goes beyond identifying symptoms to uncover the underlying factors influencing emotional and psychological well-being.
A thorough assessment includes a review of mental health history, lifestyle influences, and biological factors to develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include:
Medication management when appropriate, with a focus on minimal and effective use
Therapeutic support tailored to individual needs
Nutritional and lifestyle interventions to support overall wellness
Mind-body approaches such as mindfulness, movement, and stress-reduction techniques
Referrals to trusted professionals who can complement and enhance care
By integrating evidence-based psychiatry with holistic, whole-person care, this approach fosters sustainable healing and long-term well-being.
Medication Management & Supportive Therapy
Medication can be a valuable tool in mental health treatment, but it’s just one part of a comprehensive, integrative approach. My philosophy emphasizes the minimal, effective use of medication. I combine medication management with supportive therapy — exploring coping strategies, building insights, and strengthening self-understanding — to ensure care is safe, effective and holistic.
Genetic Testing
Understanding your unique genetic makeup can provide valuable insights into mental health conditions and medication effectiveness. My practice offers advanced genetic testing to support personalized treatment in two key areas:
Genetic Testing for Mental Health Conditions – provides deeper insights into neurotransmitter function and into underlying biological factors that may contribute to mental health conditions, guiding a more targeted and holistic treatment approach.
Genetic Testing for Medication Selection – helps identify how your body metabolizes psychiatric medications, allowing for safer, more effective prescription.
